Overview: Paul Pacult is one of the industry leaders in reviewing, evaluating and teaching other people about wine, spirits and beer. A writer for too many magazines to easily list here, he is also the author of a number of books – two (so far) of which are reviewed on this web site.

General Review: This is a great reference book on both early origins on distilling in America and the Beam family – who comprise a large branch of the founding families of Bourbon distilling and still have many members working at various distilleries throughout Kentucky. A entertaining read and great reference for anyone who is interested in bourbon.
