COST : $9.20
TYPE: Reference (more or less!)

Some amusing stories but that’s about it – no real meat or potatos here! This purports to be biographical and corporate sketches about major players in the liquor trade: the Bacardi Family, Jack Daniels, etc. A number of the stories are, shall we say, at variance with a number that I have heard or read elsewhere.
This, coupled with a wanker-type machismo, relatively short length, and lack of bibliography (where did he get his facts anyway?, a bathroom wall?) make this book a not very good choice for anyone. Buy a real book about the industry, such as American Still Life.
