Notes: This book is an outstanding companion to the television series No Reservations, featuring Anthony Bourdain , which can be found either on cable services or online through a number of sources.
Mr Bourdain, who started out as a classically trained chef, wrote a New York Times bestseller Kitchen Confidential ( 2000 AD) , while not his first book this is the one that rocketed him to public stardom and helped launch a fairly robust television career that continues to this day with Parts Unknown and The Taste.

This book is a well written and laid out recapitulation of most of his episodes with pithy or sardonic commentary and some extra background touches that help add to your overall appreciation of both Mr Bourdain and the No Reservations series. Photos are beautiful, writing is good and also has a useful sections on resources, hazards and travel tips and equipment.

Other: Mr Bourdain is the author of over 11 books, including Kitchen Confidential, The Nasty Bits, A Cooks Tour, Medium Raw, The graphic novel Get Jiro !, among other titles

Final Thoughts: Nicely done and entertaining read with plenty of anecdotes and photos to linger over. Just wish it was larger, longer, and bigger.
