The subtitle covers the description of the contents well. A immensely readable book packed with facts, information and expert opinion on just about every facet of malt whisky. While not a coffee table tome like Michael Jackson’s Whiskey, The Definitive World Guide, it is larger than his Complete Guide to Single Malt Scotch – a convenient size to read or carry. It is packed with useful information and reference about malt whisky (Read mostly Scotch, Irish and Japanese Whiskey) and all of the distilleries.

Well-illustrated with plenty of photos of the distilleries and their products, it is an eminently readable book and a useful reference. A worthy addition to any malt whisky lover’s library and a useful book for people who wish to get their feet (and tongue) wet with malt whisky.
