This is the original first edition of one of the best reference book s on micro distilleries in North America in North America, with a wealth of detail on the distilleries themselves, people, products, tasting notes, drinks, contact information, tours and hours,  to name but a few of the details for each distillery- in short almost anything you might want to know about a distillery and by extension the industry itself.

A must have reference for anyone,  distributor, liquor store or restaurant owner or ultimate consumer.

This is an outstanding work, only eclipsed by the new, second, and larger edition. I would however recommend buying this book also to get a sense of how much the industry has changed in such a little time and predict this book will be an excellent reference and a serious collectors must have book in their library to document the explosive growth of this industry.

Well written, a great read and full of lot of interesting details of every distillery.
