A lovingly illustrated book not just on artisan distilling (but that alone would be worth it ), but a virtual who’s who of companies, stills, and personalities in this emerging trade. A good part of this was written by Mr Owens on a cross country trip to visit and document the craft distilling industry in America. Lavishly illustrated with (over 200 full color photos) photos (many by Bill Owens himself) and packed with great information and stories on/of the craft distilling movement.

The book includes chapters on history of distilling, the distilling process , and then chapters on most major types of spirits and who is distilling them. Bottle, portrait, and more importantly still (as in equipment shots) are in profusion throughout the book.

Part of a planned series of books that are being either edited or written by Mr. Owens.
